Your Social Media Starter Kit.
You've learned how to treat. Now let's make sure the right people can actually find you — and when they do, they can't look away. Work through the six modules below at your own pace.
Find Your Voice and Niche
Everyone does aesthetics. But there's only one you. Before you post a single thing, you need to know your tone — how you actually speak — and your niche, who you're speaking to. This isn't about pretending. It's about being intentional.
What's your natural tone? Pick the one that feels most like you.
Hayley's tip: Don't overthink the tone. Think about how you text your best mate. That's probably closer to your real voice than anything else. The good news — any of these tones works brilliantly on social media. Pick the one you can actually keep up, not the one you think you should be.
Build Your Ideal Client
One of the biggest mistakes new aesthetics businesses make is trying to speak to everyone. When you speak to everyone, you connect with no one. The more specific you get about your ideal client, the more magnetic your content becomes. Answer these honestly.
Your Content Pillars
Content pillars are the recurring themes you build your feed around. Having three or four means you never stare at a blank screen wondering what to post — you always have a framework to come back to. Based on what you've told us, here are yours.
Important: Some of your best clients will never like a single post. That's normal. The person who watches every story silently and then books three appointments is real. Don't chase likes — chase connection with your actual person.
Apps, Tools and What's Free
You don't need to spend a fortune to create great content. Most of the tools you need have free versions that are genuinely brilliant. Don't launch into paid subscriptions until you actually need the features. Start free, upgrade when it makes sense.
Design your grid posts, stories, highlight covers and brand templates. The free version is genuinely excellent and most aesthetics businesses never need to upgrade.
✦ Use the grid post templates to stay consistent. Create your own branded template once and reuse it forever.
Edit your reels and video content. Remove backgrounds without a studio. Add captions automatically. Genuinely one of the best free video editing apps available.
✦ The background remover is free and works brilliantly for before and after content or talking head videos.
Build mood boards and find inspiration for your content style, feed aesthetic and branding direction. Search your treatment names to see what resonates with clients.
✦ Create a board for your brand aesthetic and save anything that feels like you. That IS your brief.
Schedule Instagram and Facebook posts directly through Meta's own planner. Free, reliable, and you don't need a third party app to batch your content.
✦ Batch post on a Sunday evening. Schedule the week ahead and forget about it until Friday.
Your main platform. Use the native tools — polls, questions, countdowns in stories. The algorithm rewards people who use all the features. You don't need to pay to reach people.
✦ Post to stories every single day. Even a ten second clip counts. Consistency in stories builds deeper relationships than grid posts.
Your content planning assistant. The free version is powerful enough to help you write captions, brainstorm content ideas, and create a monthly content plan. Use your personalised prompt in Module 6.
✦ The better your prompt, the better the output. That's exactly what Module 6 is for.
Showing Up as Yourself
You do not need a ring light, a professional mic, a studio backdrop, or a photographer on retainer to make great content. You need a phone, decent natural light, and permission to be a bit imperfect. That permission starts here.
What actually matters
- ✦Natural light from a window
- ✦A clean, uncluttered background
- ✦Your face on camera (yes, yours)
- ✦Consistency over production value
- ✦Being a bit cringe sometimes. It works.
Nice to have eventually
- ○Ring light
- ○External microphone
- ○Professional photography
- ○Backdrop or studio space
- ○Paid editing software
On CapCut background removal: Open CapCut, import your video, tap "Remove BG." Free, takes 30 seconds, and suddenly you look like you have a studio. Use a plain colour or a branded background and you're done.
On inspiration: Never copy. Screenshot things that make you stop scrolling and ask yourself why they worked. Was it the hook? The music? The emotion? Learn from it and make your own version. Your version will always be better because it's actually you.
Your Personalised ChatGPT Prompt
Everything you've built across the last five modules now gets turned into one powerful prompt you can paste straight into ChatGPT. It will give you a 30-day content plan built specifically around your niche, your tone, your ideal client, and your content pillars. Hit Generate, copy, paste, go.
How to use this: Copy the prompt below, open ChatGPT (free at chat.openai.com), paste it in and hit enter. You'll get a full 30-day content plan tailored to you. You can also paste it into any AI tool you prefer — it works with all of them.
